Entries
Eligibility
Participation is open to professional graphic designers, illustrators, and design students, either as individuals or as teams. They may enter projects in the fields of graphic design (print) and illustration realized in 2010 and after. The number of entries is not limited.
Categories
1. Corporate Design: identity programmes, logotypes, office stationary, etc.
2. Communication Design: advertisements, leaflets, brochures, annual reports,
. small-sized printed matter, etc.
3. Information Design: user instructions, signage systems, forms, diagrams, etc.
4. Type Design: fonts, typefaces, lettering, etc.
5. Poster Design indoor and outdoor posters, small-sized and large-sized work
6. Editorial Design: books, catalogues, magazines, newspapers, etc.
7. Packaging Design: packaging graphics, labels, CD covers, etc.
8. Illustration: book, advertising, and media illustration, storyboards,
. character design, etc.
9. Design Fiction: unpublished works, independent projects, school projects
Works to be entered in several categories must be registered separately for each category.
Online Registration
Please register online before you enter your work(s), by completing a registration form for each entry. Print out the completed form and attach it to the entry to be sent by post. You will be notified by us via e-mail of your successful registration and will receive an entry number, which we ask you to enter on the printed registration form to be enclosed with your entry. You will also be notified that your entry/entries has/have arrived.
The completed and signed registration form is a prerequisite for the entry to take part in the jury process; it serves as an administrative aid and as the basis for a possible publication of the entry in the catalogue.

Small-sized works consisting of multiple parts should be mounted on panels (cardboard or foamboard) no larger than A2 (420 x 594 mm).
For oversized works (such as billboard advertising), printouts or photographs will be accepted.
Original designs will only be accepted in the Design Fiction category.
You may also send a courier to deliver your entries or deliver them personally during office hours.

Fees and Payment
Entry fees
First entry (single): early bird: 70.00 euros | regular: 80.00 euros
For each further single entry: early bird: 45.00 euros | regular: 55.00 euros
Surcharge per series: early bird: 20.00 euros | regular: 25.00 euros
A series is an entry consisting of two or more related parts.
All fees plus 20% VAT.
Reduced entry fees
Members of DA, AGD, BDG, IO, and SGD: 30% discount
Students and entrants in categories 4 (Type Design) and 8 (Illustration): 50% discount
Discounts cannot be accumulated.
Fees for returning entries
15.00 euros (Austria) / 25.00 euros (abroad) + 20% VAT per entry, to be charged together with the entry fee. Entries will only be returned upon the entrants’ request and at their risk and expense (option to be chosen in the registration form).
Payment
Entrants will receive an invoice according to the number of their entries in due course. Please wait for the arrival of our invoice and do not send any payment of entry fees in advance. You may pay by credit card or bank transfer (payment method to be chosen on the registration form).
Printing fee
For entries selected by the international jury to be published in the catalogue, entrants will be charged a fee to cover parts of the production costs in the amount of 220.00 euros + 20% VAT per entry (for a double-page spread). Entrants whose works have been selected will receive three free copies of the catalogue. In the Design Fiction category, no printing fee will be charged.
